2012: 10.6

My favorite past-time, after photography, is cooking (and eating).  Over the past couple of years, I’ve been learning and learning, experimenting, and learning some more.  Today was a first at making something I’d never even heard of before – spatchcocked chicken.  Sounds vulgar, doesn’t it?  Basically, it’s cutting the back out of the chicken ( I learned that I need a meat cutter) so that it folds out and lays flat.  This helps the chicken cook more evenly throughout.  Then I grilled it, smothered in my super-yummy homemade barbecue sauce.  Best barbecued chicken ever.  No joke.  SOOOO GOOD!!!

By the way, the corn you see was the best ever, too!
