film processing – Working in the darkroom to process the film I shot this weekend. Word project and portfolio!
Aunt Gracie – Owned this metal box that mom inherited. There’s a hat pin, some old keys, and other odds and ends inside that Gracie had. Mom hasn’t removed anything or added to it. Kinda neat.

train – The Norfolk Southern train taking a lunch break before heading back to Danville.
Best Auditorium – I’ve always loved these lights in the auditorium. This is my self portrait – my shadow on the ceiling. Tonight was the kick-off event for the Seat Replacement Project for the Auditorium (for which I’m on the Steering Committee). I don’t even know how many times I’ve performed on the stage here – dance recitals as a kid, then band concerts and glee club, high school graduation, community events etc. My mom won most talented (dancing) in the Miss Tri-City Pageant on this stage when she was in high school. Morgan would later win most talented (singing) in the Junior Miss pageant.
The current seats are 48 years old and have seen lots of butts. It’s time for new ones! We’ve got 1,700 seats to replace at $150 each. You can donate one in memory or in honor of someone!
rain – I couldn’t decide between the 2 pics, so here are both. I would really like sunlight that will last longer than 2 days at a time. I can’t take the gloom!
A+ – Got an A+ on my negative space photo for design lab! I’m super-excited since this was one I felt like I struggled with getting right.
leaves & sticky balls – Today was gorgeous! Blue skies and sunlight. I finally feel like I’m getting over the cruddyness I’ve been walking around with for the last 2 months. Whew!

birthday party – Nothing says birthday like a Thomas the Train cake. One of the coolest cakes I’ve seen!
